With the 23rd edition concluded, Italy's most famous sand nativity scene welcomed 150,000 people.
The curtain falls on the Jesolo Sand Nativity. Italy's most famous sand nativity scene closed its doors to the public yesterday, registering 150,000 visitors and becoming the most visited edition ever.
In 2 months (opening to the public November 29, 2025), thousands of people have crossed its threshold to admire the sculptures that make up "Peace with the Earth, Peace on Earth", an exhibition inspired this year by the "Canticle of the Creatures" by Saint Francis of Assisi on the 800th anniversary of its composition. The Jesolo Sand Nativity thus recorded over 2,000 people per day, an 8% increase in attendance compared to the previous edition, which closed with 139,047 visitors.
Jesolo Sand Nativity thus confirms itself as one of the most beloved Christmas events in the area and a real tourist attraction for the city, capable of enhancing Jesolo even in the winter period and strengthening its role as a leading cultural destination.
"The extraordinary result of this edition of the Jesolo Sand Nativity is a source of great pride for the entire city," commented Jesolo Councilor for Tourism Alberto Maschio. "Reaching a new visitor record means we have been able to best interpret the desire for culture, beauty, and sharing that animates our public. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the initiative. The Jesolo Sand Nativity confirms its ability to enhance our territory even in the winter months and strengthen Jesolo's identity as a top-notch tourist and cultural destination."
