"Sculptures of Peace" is the theme of Jesolo Sand Nativity 2022

Jesolo Sand Nativity crosses the milestone of 20 editions. The sand nativity scene, born in 2002 thanks to an all-Jesolo intuition promoted over the years by the Municipality of Jesolo, with the collaboration of the investee company Jesolo Patrimonio, is preparing to open its doors to visitors in the new location in Piazza Brescia.
The administration has in fact identified a portion of the large parking area, a few steps from the Casa del Turismo and the entrance to the Palazzo del Turismo, to house the tensile structure with its sculptures. The entrance to the dome will face in the direction of via Aquileia while the rear part, where the gigantography of Pope Francis observing the nativity scene created in Rome in 2018 will stand out - as well as on the main side, will look directly viale del Bersagliere.

Here, Jesolo Sand Nativity will present itself with a grandiose layout and a rich exhibition, composed of monumental sculptures and perspective views thanks to the scenographies. These installations, so appreciated by visitors in the edition 2021, will return to make the experience of visiting the sand nativity scene magical again which will be available from 8 December, the day of the Immaculate Conception, by now traditionally chosen for cutting of the tape, to February 5th 2023. In these twenty years, the Jesolo sand nativity scene has welcomed more than 1 million and 700 thousand visitors, thanks to which it was possible to collect over 800 thousand euros which were then donated to charity to finance projects around the world and support the activity of local associations.

"The Jesolo Sand Nativity changes location, moving from Piazza Trieste to Piazza Brescia, where the thousands of visitors who reach our sand nativity every year will be able to arrive comfortably and leave their vehicle a few steps from the entrance using the large Atvo car park, whom we thank for their active cooperation – said the mayor of the City of Jesolo, Christofer De Zotti –. The decision derives from the desire to ensure adequate spaces for this important event, always rich and appreciated, but also to respond to the requests of many citizens, residents and workers, who last year encountered difficulties in their daily lives due to the presence of the tensile structure in piazza Trieste".

"One of the points of reference for what concerns major events is back in Jesolo, and it does so with a new look from different points of view – said the councilor for tourism, Alberto Maschio -. Jesolo Sand Nativity is one of the valuable events that bring tens of thousands of people to the city, and in which we have decided to continue investing to generate repercussions capable of making Jesolo attractive throughout the year. Jesolo Sand Nativity is, at the same time, a consolidated event that has allowed us in all these years to contribute to the realization of numerous charitable projects in every corner of the world and which once again this year, thanks to the hearts of visitors, will allow us to do good.
