Jesolo Sand Nativity vicino il traguardo delle 140 mila visite

Jesolo Sand Nativity nears 140,000 visits

Attendance increased compared to last year's edition. A conference and concert will accompany the final days of the exhibition.

The 23rd edition of Jesolo Sand Nativity continues to record impressive numbers, welcoming nearly 140,000 visitors so far, with an average of over 2,600 visitors per day. This represents a significant increase over the previous edition, which, during the same period, reached 125,000 visitors. This result confirms the exhibition's great international appeal and its central role in the city's cultural and tourism offerings.

The extraordinary sand nativity scene, open until Sunday, February 8th, is inspired this year by the "Canticle of the Creatures" by Saint Francis of Assisi, marking the 800th anniversary of its composition. A magnificent work of art, full of charm and evocative power, it enchants thousands of visitors from around the world, thanks to monumental sculptures crafted down to the smallest detail, capable of surprising even the most devoted audiences.

As part of the cultural events connected to the exhibition, a conference entitled "Spirituality and Physics. A Possible Dialogue? The Challenge of the Canticle of the Creatures" will be held on Friday, January 30th at 3:30 p.m. in the Sala Palladio of the Pala Turismo. Speakers will include Professor Giovanni Comelli, professor of Physics of Matter, and Professor Francesco Longo, professor of Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics at the University of Trieste, who will engage in a discussion with fifth-year students from the "Montale" classical and linguistic high school in San Donà di Piave and the "E. Cornaro" professional tourism institute in Jesolo.

The initiative, promoted by the Monsignor Giovanni Marcato cultural association with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Jesolo, symbolically concludes the journey begun with the inaugural conference on December 1st, confirming the central role of students and cultural dialogue as the beating heart of Jesolo Sand Nativity.

The event will conclude with the "Sand Nativity" choral-symphonic concert, scheduled for Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 PM at the Archpriest's Church of San Giovanni Battista. Performers for the evening will be the Veneto Classical Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Dino Doni, the "Academia Ars Canendi" choir conducted by Manuela Meneghello, soprano Annagiulia Bonizzato, and singer Daniele Cortello. Sabrina Comin will perform on the organ, piano, and harpsichord. The program will feature masterpieces from the Baroque and Classical periods for choir, soloists, and orchestra, along with some famous traditional pieces. The evening will be presented by Elisa Nadai.
