Jesolo Christmas City has distributed solidarity funds.

Contributions from the offerings to the Sand Nativity and Ice Nativity Scenes were delivered.

The Municipality of Jesolo today distributed the funds raised through the Jesolo Sand Nativity and the Ice Nativity. The funds total €144,000, of which €118,000 from the Jesolo Sand Nativity and €26,000 from the Ice Nativity, representing the highest amount ever raised. This sum comes from voluntary donations and merchandise purchases by visitors.

Recipients of the funds raised by Jesolo Sand Nativity:

  • Jerusalem Patriarchate: €27,460 – Support for Christian schools and scholarships for young students living in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as support for medical care in the same areas and contributions towards the purchase of medicines and food.
  • No Indifference Onlus: €13,000 – Purchase of equipment and completion of the first aid infirmary and a room that will be used for psychological support. The project for the new facility, in the La Paz neighborhood on the outskirts of Barranquilla, Colombia, will allow for the continuation of a support program that will not only provide shelter but also lay the foundation for a future of hope for these little friends.
  • Parish of St. John the Baptist: €13,000 – The project involves the completion of four new classrooms at the Tumaini Academy parish school of the Ol Moran Catholic Mission in Kenya. Ol Moran is a diocesan mission of the Patriarchate of Venice. The planned building includes four classrooms. Two classrooms have already been built and the third is nearing completion.
  • Marafiki Primary School Onlus: €13,000 – Repairing the flooring and painting the walls of the Mida Creek school in Kenya, damaged by heavy rains and a freak tide.
  • Alépé Project, Ivory Coast, Non-Profit Association: €13,000 – Purchase of a new x-ray machine at the mission in Alépé (Ivory Coast), run directly by the Dorothean Sisters, serving 36 villages and 150,000 people. This is the only x-ray machine and, due to its age, is no longer repairable.
  • Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary of Galilee: €13,000 – Support for the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary of Galilee, located in Korazym, Israel. It is a diocesan and missionary seminary. The missionaries' presence is of great help to the local Catholic community, which represents only 3% of the Holy Land's population.
  • Bedanda Missionary Group: €13,000 – The project includes the completion of the NGO's headquarters, which would become a hub for all missionary volunteer associations operating in the Veneto region. The project also includes the completion of the business school adjacent to the NGO's headquarters, the laying of the foundation stone for the library at Casa Verona, and the completion of the cultural center and cathedral.
  • Women for Freedom ETS (Trampolin Project): €13,000 – Bolivia is at the center of human trafficking: in 2023, a girl between the ages of 14 and 16 disappeared every three hours, without a trace. To address this emergency, in 2022, Women For Freedom launched the Trampolin project in El Alto, La Paz, creating Bolivia's first educational and vocational rehabilitation center for girls aged 11 to 18, victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation. The center welcomes up to 40 girls, often without families, offering personalized rehabilitation, education, job placement, and psychological support, complemented by sports, art, music, and theater activities. The funds raised will support these girls and the new center opening in Cochabamba.
